Reasons     

There are several factors that influence the development "bumps" with age, we list some of them:   

  • transverse flat foot;  
  • genetic predisposition;  
  • wear narrow shoes (pointed shoes, very short toes - anything that does not provide the necessary space for the toes);  
  • incorrectly selected shoes (too high heels or lack of orthopedic insole, if necessary);  
  • endocrine disorders;  
  • osteoporosis;  
  • congenital weakness of connective and bone tissues.  

Symptoms      

You should be cautious and carefully examine your feet if:   

  • there is pain in the joints of the feet;  
  • your legs get tired quickly;  
  • you have difficulty choosing shoes;  
  • there is a visible deformation of the foot;

If you notice these changes, see a podiatrist and take x-rays and impressions of your feet to check for flat feet.Therefore, if you or your children have flat feet, it is advisable to monitor the course of the condition from an early age, namely: choosing the right footwear, having massages and regularly visiting the orthopedist.People with flat feet are at a much higher risk of developing this deformity.

Prevention

  • examination by an orthopedist for timely detection of flat feet;
  • wear shoes without stiletto heels and pointed toes);
  • mandatory use of orthopedic insoles;
  • Exercise therapy.

Remember that if you do nothing, the disease will progress to chronic bursitis (inflammation) and osteoarthritis.Additionally, if the disease is advanced, surgery may be necessary.
